Studying abroad? Whats it like? BYU?

I'm thinking about going to University in America and since I am a LDS member BYU would be my first choice. However I don't know whether I would enjoy it. Since most people at BYU are mormons, like myself, they all would of had a similar upbringing so I expect there not to be a large variety of people? Would I be right about this? Also what are some other good Universities in America which are considered good for international students and are in good cities/states? Costs are not a problem. Thank You.
