Rustic beach camping?

I have spent over a week hiking the coast of Olympic National Park in Washinton. It is a very wild and intense place to backpack. The weather and tides can be a concern, but that is part of the experience. It's not going to be the kind of ocean where you go swimming, as it's quite dangerous to swim there. I live in Ga, and i can tell you that there are VERY FEW remote places to camp along the coast of FL. Most of FL coastal wetlands were filled in to create more land for hotels and condos. GA and SC both have remote barrier islands where you can camp, but the bugs can get pretty bad. If you live in CA, i would suggest checking out the Baja coast personally.
