Where to go on a first date?

So after talking to this guy for about three weeks, we finally agreed to hang out! He's actually new in town and he's one year younger than me. I insisted on driving since I know where I'm going and what not. We live in a small town, and I think I have narrowed it down to a few things. We're both pretty athletic so I was thinking about maybe the park for a walk and maybe bring a football or something. My other idea was to go to a good restaurant about 45 minutes out of town. Which one do you think would work best? Also, I'm an awful dater! Lol I act so spastic on dates especially around people I really like. What is something I can do to kind of calm down and act semi decent? Please don't say hit the blunt lol. Thanks! :)
