This is my first chapter of my very first novel; please give me your honest critisism!?

Honestly it seems way to cliche and like the beginning of the old spy shows when the private eye was thinking in his brain of past or present. I read it all and that is good for me because I usually don't read longer things like this. Good but work on coherence.
